Unusually good food has always been a priority in our lives and one which we love to share with other people.

We have brought our self-sufficient, environmentally sensitive approach to our new home in the Scottish Borders where we share our love of all things good to eat through catering and our smoking courses.

Previously we owned a highly acclaimed Restaurant with Rooms in the Highlands to which guests returned time and again for the quality of our food and the warmth of our welcome.

Our self catering cottages built on a working croft on the Ardnamurchan peninsular achieved the Green Goldstar Award for the most sustainable self catering business in the UK.

Moving to the Borders we have created a romantic rural retreat out of post and beam Douglas Fir - Fiddle Hill Cottage.   Inside will surprise you with much use of old and hand made furniture and ’the best bed in the Borders’ described by many who have stayed as the most comfortable bed they have ever slept in. Art by Hamish MacDonald and a local wildlife artist and tiles by Lotte Glob. The cottage has great walking from the door being only half a mile from the Borders Abbey Way and  ideal for a couple but with room for the kids in a bunk room downstairs.
